Berwick Rugby Club's 2nd XV, "The Bears", line up before their game against Morpeth 3rds on Saturday at Scremerston. An amazing game of rugby saw the
team go down 14-17 against a far superior, more experienced and well drilled Morpeth team. After Tynedale Morpeth are the strongest club in Northumberland and this was a magnificent effort by the Berwick team who never gave up trying and spent large amounts of time camped on the Morpeth line in scrums and attacking situations. An outstanding performance which bodes well for the future.
